Covid-19 has shocked the world. It is common that many are having a hard time understanding the severity of the situation and adapting to the new normal (i.e. social distancing and self-isolation). It is important to remember that these new practices are not only for your own health but for the global population. As separated parents, your common goal should be to protect your children. However, not all parents are ‘reading from the same page’. In order to do that, parents can share articles on the gravity of the situation and tips on the importance of adopting new practices at home so that the children remain safe. Hand washing, cleaning surfaces and social distancing are necessary precautions at this time. In the end, make this about the children’s safety.  Do not let ego get in the way. Use education, news and public resources to ensure the necessary level of safety and cooperation.
